Here at Lunchmeat, we’re nuts about nostalgia. Indeed, we want you Videovores out there to use our zine and website as a sort of time machine that can take you back to times when life was cooler, simpler and abounding with toys, comics and monster cereal (for dinner). I recently came across an amazingly groovy website called StrangeKidsClub.com that features all of these wildy awesome things and then some. Editor-in-Chief Rondal Scott was cool enough to give us some insight on what being a Strange Kid is all about… Now where did I put my six-pack of Candy Corn flavored...

Throughout my virtually ritualistic movie viewing and researching, it’s always groovy to find stuff that totally missed my radar – especially something of a cult classic, resounding nature. An instance such as this just occurred a couple weekends ago after a great session of beer drinking and making merry the night before, which made for an excellent morning of cartoon watching, maximum chillin’ and eggs and taters. One of our favorite things about making Lunchmeat has been watching the community of VHS fans grow and come together around the magazine and events and social media that we’ve been involved with. We love to see others standing up and expressing their love for the VHS format in whatever way they feel most comfortable. I was particularly excited when Crimson Screens, a DIY film zine published by Edward Black, showed up at LM Headquarters. The issue that we were sent (#7) is titled the action issue. Lunchmeat tries to present a well rounded survey of obscure VHS history; however,...

Just a couple of days ago, I did a post about the Demon Queen tape that fetched nearly $800 on eBay, which is unsurprisingly getting a ton of attention. In closing that piece, I encouraged all the Videovores out there to scour the depths of any & all flea markets, dirt malls, second-hand shops and any place that bares the word “video” on its signage. This past weekend I did just that with my buddies John aka Video Dead from Lunchmeat, Matt from Horror Boobs, and Rob from Wild Eye Releasing, and what we happened to come across totally blew...
