We’re beyond VHStoked to announce the official release details for STUCK ON VHS: A VISUAL HISTORY OF VIDEO STORE STICKERS, the brand spankin’ new, rewind-radical book written by LUNCHMEAT Editor-in-Chief Josh Schafer and designed by / featuring the photography of HOME VIDEO HORRORS creator Jacky Lawrence! STUCK ON VHS will initially be unleashed in Austin, TX at Alamo Drafthouse’s South Lamar location on January 8th to kick off VHStival Tour 2020. Along with the release of the book and a special appearance by Josh Schafer, this touring edition of VHStival will also include screenings of James Westby’s love-letter documentary to the video rental world At the Video Store, Gary P. Cohen’s seminal shot-on-video shocker Video Violence, and the mind-melting, much beloved Found Footage Festival’s VCR PARTY. And, of course, there will also be absolutely radical VHS swaps where you can buy, sell, and trade your way to a magnificently massive stack of video collection perfection!

VHStival Tour 2020 will also offer guests a sneak peek at MONDO’s new tabletop game VIDEO VORTEX, which will be released later this year. The book, published by BIRTH. MOVIES.DEATH., will be available for online purchase via MONDO on January 20th at 1PM CST. The STUCK ON VHS / VHStival 2020 Tour will continue to press play and make its way across the country with appearances from Schafer, signature screenings, and tape swaps throughout the spring with stops at Alamo Drafthouse locations in Downtown LA (2/10), Denver, CO (2/22), Brooklyn, NY (2/27), and San Francisco, CA (4/8).
