While recently going about my daily rewind-inclined wanderings around the world weird web, I was offered a chance to check out two totally killer, one most curious and one exceptionally informative, video-centric vintage newspaper clippings harvested from Newspapers.com, found courtesy of fellow Tapehead and all-around cool dude Julian DiLorenzo (@UncleSporkums) via Twitter. The first clipping he shared was out of Salina, KS, and detailed a shocking mistake made at a magnetic magic duplication facility, inadvertently causing an explicit horror flick to appear at the tail end of a seemingly innocuous children’s cartoon tape. Here’s the article that originally appeared in...

Most of the Videovores who pay regular visits to Lunchmeat Land are likely familiar with the video vindicating supplier Benny Junko over at VideoSanctum.com, but if not, be sure to check out this previously published interview on VS for some insight and essential info on the amazing amount of home video history they've uncovered! Through many years of uncovering essential (and not-so-essential!) slabs of video gold, Benny and his Video Sanctum brand also hit upon one of the biggest scores (and saves) of video history when he rescued an immense amount of video era products, promotions and assorted ephemera from...

As the admiration for our favorite format seems to continually abound through an array of artistic representations across the rewind-inclined world, it only seems proper for that celebration to ooze its way into the realm of amazing low-brow illustration. Allow me to introduce you to the Night Watch Crew: the most bodacious duo of Tallboy and Krusty (who, in fact, is a totally rad CHICK!) who over the past few years, have been issuing independent zines chock full of jaw-dropping illustration creations and collaborating with some of the most fantastic and face-melting illustrators on the planet. Their newest issue is...

A wave of totally righteous rewind-inclined excitement has recently rolled through the Videovore community in response a custom-painted, fully functional VCR from artist Sorce122, paying homage to one of the most iconic horror flicks of all-time: The Texas Chain Saw Massacre! Initial posts and VHShares of the aesthetically amazing VCR sent many Tapeheads into a frenzy of questions on how to get their own custom-covered magnetic playback machine, so Lunchmeat caught up with Sorce122 to gather a little more information about him, the process behind the beautification, and of course, how YOU can get in queue to grab your very...

Most Tapeheads in tune with the current analog underground may recognize the Forever Bogus brand for their participation in the creation of some of the most bodacious seasonal VHS mix-tapes to ever enter modern Videovores’ VCRs with A Totally Bogus Halloween and A Very Merry Bogus Christmas, but beyond their knack for putting together these variety-stacked video snacks, the Bogus crew are also known for being perpetual proponents of 90s nostalgia, championing everything from home video entertainment to food to fashion (and, yes, that includes fanny packs, man!). And so, combining their love for VHS and utter 90s nostalgia, they’ve...
