This year’s Cinema Wasteland adventure started in classic fashion with my journey up to Massacre Video art director extraordinaire Earl Kess' abode, wickedly wielding the admittedly limited power of my 97 Oldsmobile Ciera to arrive at my destination at lightning speed. Upon arrival I was greeted with a most righteous high five and a hearty glass of red wine to settle my senses. My tummy was a grumblin’ from all that road rumblin’ , so lucky for me, Earl’s most gracious girl Mackenzie was cooking up a pair of pepperoni stromboli that ended up tasting remarkably like those pepperoni pizza...

For the Tapeheads who are actively attentive to the ever-expanding re-animated analog landscape and ardent followers of the fresh VHS movement, Louis Justin is a man who needs little introduction. Guided to the culture based on its displays of passion, and convinced by an analog oriented event hosted by terrific Tapeheads Rob Hauschild of Wild Eye and Matt D. of Horror Boobs, NY based indie filmmaker Sean Mannion has elected to set this full length feature against the backdrop of the underground VHS collecting circuit… but not in the way you might think. While he’s probably most recognized for his contributions to the rock n’ roll rag Powerplay Rock and Metal Magazine and his red-handed writings for HorrorNews.net, UK based indie writer Andrew Hawnt sure has a lot more to offer for fans of the written word. Over the years, his unending fanaticism for fringe escapes has propelled him to establish his own indie publishing outfit, releasing six books (VHSAMB will be his seventh!) ranging from fantastic fiction (Across the Sea of the Mind) to life as a comic book crony (Bagged and Boarded: Life on Planet Geek). But with his latest book,...
