A loser stumbles onto a bucket of toxic waste in a cornfield and gains the ability to communicate with corn. He obtains the sidekicks and spandex necessary to become a superhero and vows to protect the corn from the evil villain Dr. Hoe. The one-armed-hoe-bad-guy enlists the aid of a giant mutant-hybrid-freak and several crappy foot soldiers in an attempt to dominate ALL THE CORN IN THE WORLD!  Only CORNMAN: AMERICAN VEGETABLE HERO can save the day!

Shot as a thesis film school project in Denton Texas from 2000-2001 by filmmaker Barak Epstein and his friends, CORNMAN: AMERICAN VEGETABLE HERO is a buffet of wacky, ridiculous, and irreverent filmmaking for fans of early 2000s Troma-style no-budget cinema insanity, with no shortage of brain-damaged humor and gratifying gore.  It world premiered at SXSW in 2001 and was originally released on VHS in 2002 and then DVD in 2003.  It’s been out of print for over 20 years… UNTIL NOW!!

“The movie itself looks like it was exposed to toxic waste.” – FILM THREAT
