All month long the residents prepare for Halloween weekend, which includes parades for pets, parades for humans, pumpkin-carving contests, transformations of homes, stores, and restaurants into haunted houses, costume parties, and the unique experience of trick-or-treating along North Union Avenue on Halloween itself, where some home-owners spend upwards of $500.00 each on candy alone. 3000 or more people come out each October 31st. It’s a Halloween experience not to be missed.
