LUNCHMEAT Teams Up with Animus Studios to Release MEMORY VIDEO on Limited Edition VHS in Celebration of Video Store Day 2019!

In collaboration with Animus Studios and the 9th annual International Independent Video Store Day 2019 (which took place on October 19th), LUNCHMEAT proudly presents the Limited Edition VHS release of MEMORY VIDEO: a short documentary detailing the ongoing story of a neighborhood video store right outside of Philadelphia, PA called VIVA VIDEO, which is still alive and renting. Directed by Roy Power and starring Miguel Gomez, MEMORY VIDEO offers a heartfelt and insightful journey through the trials of running a modern day video store, overflowing with passion and riddled with uncertainty.

Originally unleashed at Alamo Drafthouse / Video Vortex in Raleigh, NC on International Independent Video Store Day 2019 coupled with an exclusive screening of the film, the MEMORY VIDEO Limited Edition VHS is now available for all Tapeheads to feed to their VCR on the LUNCHMEAT store! Here’s the official synopsis for MEMORY VIDEO: Miguel Gomez is fighting to keep the experience of going to the video store alive against the popularity of streaming. After essentially being raised in video stores, Miguel decided to open his Philadelphia shop VIVIA VIDEO in 2012. Along with his wife and son, Miguel keeps a local community thriving while finding ways to keep his store financially sustainable. As the VIVA VIDEO family grows, we’re left uncertain how long it will last.
