Rob Hauschild

Rob Hauschild

Rob's family bought their first VCR, a Fisher Studio Standard, around 1982 - and also foolishly dropped $99 for a "video store membership". So began a long journey of paying way too much for anything VHS. But since then, Rob has become an East Coast based writer and cult movie purveyor whose genre credits include Fangoria, Famous Monsters Underground, Total Movie, Ramp, Celebrity Skin, AOL and Metal Maniacs, alongside a few long gone mags and fanzines. Rob also founded, published and quickly folded his own oddball film magazine VeX (1995-2000), and is presently co-owner, curator and producer for micro label Wild Eye Releasing, focusing on distributing offbeat cinematic gems on DVD and presenting live film shows, including the worldwide release of Night of the Living Dead: Reanimated. He is currently working on a release of the entire Wild Eye library on limited edition VHS, all based on vintage label box styles, and hopes that VHS collecting is one day finally elevated to the status of collecting either stamps or soiled panties.
