Ever since I was a kid, I've been a collector: movies, magazines, comics, trading cards, action figures, video games - you name it, and I've endeavored to collect it. And while some of my collecting fads have inevitably faded and disappeared much like certain aspects of childhood, I find myself faithfully collecting media to this very day. I still have this insatiable thirst for the stuff. And over the past 10 years or so, I've acquired an acute propensity for that rare, esoteric kind of media. It's the stuff that no one else seems to talk about. I get this extraordinary thrill from finding stuff that's super-weird or off the radar. Indeed, I have an incredible passion to dig out things that go unnoticed and see what's inside. I've always been an escapist; and over the years I've found the greatest escapes are the ones that you never knew existed.

Question 1) VCRs owned (how many VCRs do you have in your posession):
Three at the moment, but I'll probably get another one soon. I'm always open to the idea of getting another VCR...

Question 2) Five must-see-before-you-croak videos:
Damn... I wrote this question and I still can't decide if it should be video-only titles or just five must-see flicks... Oh, well... All of these flicks kick major butt:

  1. Mother's Day
  2. I Drink Your Blood
  3. The Asphyx
  4. The Gate
  5. The Seventh Seal

Question 3) First VHS you owned:
Believe it or not, it's a tie: Wayne's World and The Addams Family. Remember when McDonalds had that deal back in the 90s where you bought some food, and you could get some VHS tapes for pretty cheap? Man, those were the days....

Question 4) Most prized VHS:
Here's a doozy of a question. I would have to say my Midnight Video big box of Microwave Massacre. I picked that bad boy up for a dollar from some hole-in-the-wall video shop right near my hometown in South Jersey. It was the video that solidified my belief that VHS was the coolest thing on the planet.
